This post-marketing case report extends its application to non-diabetic, haematological disease–associated ulcers. The report describes an 80-year-old male patient with essential thrombocythaemia (ET) who presented with a long-standing, painful, non-healing ulcer of the left great toe. After four months of unsuccessful antibiotic treatment, ON101 topical therapy was initiated. Marked re-epithelialisation and significant granulation tissue formation were observed within two weeks. During the treatment course, the patient concurrently received systemic therapy for ET, and wound healing was achieved within two months, with no recurrence observed during long-term follow-up. (2.)Essential thrombocythaemia (ET) is a myeloproliferative neoplasm associated with an increased risk of thrombosis and bleeding, and may also lead to cutaneous and lower-extremity ulcers. Moreover, commonly used ET treatments, such as hydroxyurea and anagrelide, are themselves known to induce or exacerbate leg ulcers, further complicating clinical management and potentially increasing the risk of amputation. This case demonstrates that effective control of local inflammation and optimisation of the wound microenvironment prior to addressing the underlying ET is a feasible and critical therapeutic strategy, and supports ON101 as a potential treatment option for ET-associated ulcers.
